Toastmasters International has celebrated 87 years as a non-profit organization. The first Toastmasters club was established on October 22, 1924, in Santa Ana, California, by Dr. Ralph C. Dawn-Breakers Toastmasters Club and The Youth Gavel Club donate 70 bottles of detergent to Ronald McDonald House in Decatur. The club goal was for 50 bottles but within two weeks 70 bottles of detergent was donated.
